Rated 1 out of 5 by Biasi buy cheap buy twice There have been reports that these Biasi boilers only last up until the 2 year warranty has ended. I have to report that my Biasi Riva plus 24kw only lasted just over 1 month before issues started. Hot water works and heating works fine on initial startup but once warm will not refire it then goes into lockout showing 1 red flashing light. Having looked at the manual the fault description reads as follows OTHER FAULT. Big help Biasi well done. This boiler will be removed shortly in order to make way for a Viessmann a boiler with very good reviews . All Biasi does is blame dirt in the system for their failure. My Biasi boiler is not fit for the purpose.I only wish i would have stuck to my motto BUY CHEAP BUY TWICE 4 Mar 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by To be avoided ! I am a gas engineer and in my opinion this is one of the worst combi boilers on the market. It is a false economy to buy these boilers as they struggle to last more than a couple of years. My advice would be to spend a bit more and get a decent boiler instead. Good boiler makes include Baxi, Main, Worcester and Vaillant to name just a few. Hope this helps. 31 Jan 2016

Hi, thanks for your enquiry. It is possible as a temporary measure to do what you are asking but there are two things you must do:
The boiler must be pressurised in order for it to produce hot water so you would have to create a small loop on the heating side. Secondly I would suggest you add a small radiator to this loop to help dissipate the heat that would be left in the boiler after the call for hot water has finished

Hi, Thank you for your enquiry, the Riva Plus will accept any type of external control providing it has volt free switching, if you are looking for RF (wireless) something like the Drayton Digistat +RF Room Thermostat (Product Code: 73146) or the Horstmann HRFS1 Programmable Room Thermostat (Product Code: 93829) would be suitable.

Answer:
Hi, thanks for your enquiry, there is a lot of confusion when it comes to "banding" on boilers, we are in the middle of another change where new ErP boilers are being rated under another set of testing criteria and EU labelling. To answer your question the Riva Plus 24kw fell into what was known as A band, most installers thought it was not possible to achieve this efficiency with what is in effect a standard burner but by introducing a highly efficient recuperator (or secondary heat exchanger) and a variable speed fan, this product was able to achieve this, making it suitable for installation under part L of the U.K. Building Regulations.
The new ErP version (Riva Plus C ErP 24) has an energy label of B for heating and A for hot water, by adding an external room stat (class 1) the package label would be an A.
I hope this helps.
