Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor design As mentioned before, to change the fuse the supply needs to be isolated and the unit dismantled to get to the fuse holder. Don't understand how this passed standards!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's good but! The red indicator light is very poor, just installed in garage and with the lights out there is only a faint glimmer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy fix for existing system I have used this to protect an outside cable run which had no protection and was run on the surface in a hedge with ordinary cable (installed by a previous owner) and is now underground and armoured. Two issues (both minor). The cut outs are not that well defined, I finished up drilling them out as I was not confident of breaking them out (20mm cutter). The waterproof seal is fiddly, it keeps falling out of position and combined with a plastic case which can pull out of shape under the stress of an armoured cable it can be a nuisance. Make sure the armoured cable is well aligned and secure It seems to work well when installed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the Job My garden has an Irrigation system protected by an RCD. Went on Holiday came back to a desert. There had been a power cut and the old RDC is not "latching". Bought this one and fitted it without any problems. Can't say about reliability yet but so far so good

Cable glands

Does it come with any cable glands? Does it accept standard M20 glands?
Asked by: JJTT
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry. The BG Storm Weatherproof range of products do not come with glands or gaskets as the cabling/conduit type being used will dictate the appropriate type. The pre-formed knockouts (push-outs) are 20mm diameter as standard or can be drilled out to 25mm if necessary.

fused RCD. the one on show has a 13A fuse. can i drop this down to a 6 or 3A fuse to run two led power supplies from

Asked by: mcik
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry. Yes, using a fuse with a rating below 13A is perfectly acceptable as it has no bearing on the operation of the Safety RCD circuitry.
