I use this chisel to prepare the brick / block for back boxes, what a breeze! I still stitch drill, more for finish than need and a standard chisel to get out the bulk but then use the scutch to finish off. It leaves a good flat finish which makes the fitting and levelling of boxes so much quicker and easier. Does require a tad of time on engineering brick, but then, what doesn't? I've had no issues with the scutch getting too warm and comb becoming loose but that is possibly due to my use of varying cutting tools for the task.

At first I was put off with the price, but so many good reports I had to try it.
I made a mistake waiting, this thing chews thru stuff so easy saves it's price on one job by the time saved.
Yes it does get hot but take a brew and it's ready again.

Was looking for an alternative to a standard sds flat chisel and came across this, a little pricey but reading reviews thought I would give it a go. I was removing plaster from all my internal brick walls and it was night and day compared to the standard sds flat chisel. The teeth really help it get flush with the brickwork, didn't leave any bits behind and I would say it was twice as fast.also I really noticed a lot less vibration in the hands which enabled me to carry on longer.
I did experience the comb coming loose but it was after at least an hours use, just tapped it back straight with a hammer, left it for 10mins while I cleared up and went back to it.
Even come across some cement rendered patches and it took these apart too.
