Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing results.... I'm a confident plumber and I installed this one on my brothers central heating system - tank fed system boiler at the week end. I had a lovely spot for it above the boiler for it to go on the return and literally cut the pipes to required distance (think it was about 160mm), it slides in deeper one end and then up, put your ptfe/jointing paste around the olive and crank up. Then slide the chamber over the outlets and tighten up, all in all it must have taken no more than 15mins, obviously draining down took longer - when you drain down ALWAYS change the washer on the drain cock - my tip! I had the system charged back up and running by 3pm Saturday just gone, and I left on Sunday at 10:30am - in this time we had the heating on for probably about 8hrs or so and before I left I wanted to check the filter and could not believe the junk that was attached to the centre spindle!!! it was crazy and asked my brother to check it again in a week, then again a week later, then should be fine for 6 monthly checks. No wonder he said this was his 3rd boiler in 15years.....no surprise with this about of literally "metal shards" floating around in his system. So - the short of it is - fit one - I'd imagine they all do the same - but this one was easy to fit and even easier to clean with the magnet just dropping out and the waste washed away. Buy it - you'll be amazed! Hope this helps 2 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Magnetic Filter I wouldn't fit a boiler without fitting a ADEY MAGNACLEAN FILTER. I have also fitted them to many existing heating systems. These are the best on the market and I highly recommend them. 14 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great device Very straightforward and quick to install, I've fitted loads and only use Magnaclean, the proof is in the pudding with these. Install one and see how much muck it removes from your system. There great 18 Mar 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Magnaclean I am not a professional but once I had the tools assembled and the system drained below the boiler it took me 5 minutes to fit. All appears to be working fine. Provides an easy access point for future additives and easy to remove and clean. I cannot yet rate it's reliability as only recently fitted. 6 Mar 2016

The installation I have this weekend doesn't allow enough access onto any easily assessable 22mm pipes. Can I tag it onto a 15mm pipe off, say- off the utility radiator (one not seen often - but easy to access for cleaning)? Thanks.

Answer:
Thank you for your enquiry. We would not recommend that positions as, if the radiator is turned off or balanced down, the flow rate will be poor.

The ideal position for installation is on the return to the boiler, however if there is no space available here it can be fitted in an airing cupboard or similar, preferably still on the return, however it can also be fitted on the flow if there is no space on the return. If fitting on the flow it must not be installed on a vent pipe and must be covering the whole circuit.

The valves for the MagnaClean Pro2 filter are also 360 degree valves, meaning they can be rotated for easy installation into pipe work that is vertical, horizontal, or angled, giving more options for installation.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your enquiry. The main body of the MagnaClean Pro2 filter must remain vertical, however the 360 degree rotational valves allow for multiple installation options, including an installation into horizontal pipework.

Answer:
Thank you for your enquiry. That code is for the MagnaClean Pro2 filter which is our most recent model for 22mm pipe work. This filter has in-line connections using plastic John Guest fittings, which have been heat and pressure tested to ensure they are suitable for all domestic heating systems. Each filter is also tested again before despatch to ensure all connections are good. In addition to this all our filters carry a 2 year warranty, from the date of installation, so should any issues arise within this time scale we can replace any faulty items. There are no reported manufacturing faults with the connections on this filter.

Thank you for your enquiry. We usually recommend that the filters are serviced on an annual basis and as long as the filter is installed correctly, it should be very easy to service. With the Pro2 you can do this in one of two ways; either in situ, by isolating the valves, bleeding the air vent and opening the lid, or; by isolating the valves, draining the water, bleeding the air, and removing the filter completely, before opening the lid to service. The method used will depend on the space available to you.

Thank you for your enquiry. All new MagnaClean filters have non-magnetic capture built into the magnet sheaths. These non-magnetic capture zones are designed to pick up dirt in the system, such as hardness scales, iron oxide flakes, casting sand, welding debris, non-ferrous metal flakes.
