Rated 4 out of 5 by 15mm Full bore 1/4 turn valve A solid 1/4 turn full bore isolation valve. No reduction in pipe size through this valve (full bore) so little in the way of flow rate reduction and dynamic pressure loss. Not a bad valve for the money. Like most of these types of valve they could be better than they are from a design point of view but they would probably be harder to manufacture and cost more. For instance it would be nice if they had a closed stop instead of the ball freely rotating. this means that the user has to get the quarter turn close to spot on to be completely closed or completely open as there is no mechanical rotation stop / limit. it would be slightly easier to fit if the body of the valve was a constant hexagonal so as to facilitate holding with a spanner more easily. This valve has a hex shoulder on one end. If you use the hex shoulder to hold the valve while tightening the compression nut on that end, the holding spanner will foul on the nut being tightened so a narrow jaw adjustable spanner can be useful. this is not a flaw in this specific valve but almost all full bore ball valves. 18 Jul 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works well, built well Product seems to be durable and the quality seems really good. Time will tell the full picture. The item does not feel cheap as some do, and it just feels like a good quality item. Closes off tight with no flow of water - does what it should do! I've already bought & fitted several. 14 Jul 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best service valve These are the only service valves I fit now as the cheaper ones can eventually leak around the adjusting screw. They are full bore so no loss of flow and I often fit the tap/toilet flexi straight onto them which also enables you to adjust flow especially on mains pressure and between hot and cold. They are slightly larger in diameter than the cheap ones so allow a bit more space between the pipe centres/brackets. A reliable piece of fit and forget kit. 6 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 15mm Isolating Valve Excellent piece of equipment. I have used a number of these valves in the past and never had a problem. As I renovate my property I am replacing all the old service valves with these valves. Good value for money. 25 Mar 2016

Hi Robsworth,

There is no direction of flow in this valve as it is bi-directional.

Cant see why not, they are full flow so will not effect circulation, I have a similar one, with yellow lever operation, on part of my circuit with no detriment
