Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favoured paint This is one of my favourite paints! Excellent undercoat primer, it's difficult to find anything original to say without repeating previous reviewers. After 30 years of DIY painting I now use nothing else to prime and undercoat. It covers well, dries quickly and produces an excellent surface for a top coat. Interestingly, I did once end up with a "satin" finish from a white "gloss" paint having first under-coated with "Bullseye". This might be because the undercoat is very absorbent but I'd not found this to be a problem before.... or since. Anyway, the "satin" finish was quite acceptable (and lasted really well) so I didn't try a second coat of the gloss!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent primer My 20 year old front door is quite an attractive galvanised security door which is in good condition. I was loathe to change it as it matches my home perfectly but the door would never retain paint due to the galvanised treatment which makes paint very difficult to stick to the surface. Also the door faces directly South so it would get tremendously hot during summer and the paint layers would simply flake off in patches down to bare metal and it always looked somewhat tatty after summer and had to be painted each year to keep it looking decent. I tried numerous combinations of primers and paints but none seemed to work. However, after much research last summer, as a last resort I bought a tin of Zinsser Primer and stripped the door down to bare metal again and applied a couple of coats of Zinsser before applying several coats of satin finish and to my amazement, the door including the finished coat still looks as good as new well over a year later with not a flake of paint in sight. I used a small roller to apply the primer to the door rather than just a brush which was used on the mouldings and gave an excellent 'key' for the finishing paint. Excellent! This product completely solved my problems and therefore I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD COVERALL THIS IS MY SECOND TIN AFTER USING IT TO COVER OVER A VARNISHED LIVING ROOM IN ORDER TO PAINT IT WHITE GREAT RESULT TIME SAVING AND WELL WORTH TE MONEY.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bulls Eye 1-2-3 1lt An effective primer which covered minor surface irregularities and took white emulsion well. However, it was not so good at covering bare plaster or previous light-coloured paint (which took 2 top-coats in those areas, rather than one).

Answer:
Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 is ideal for this project, as an adhesion promoting primer it achieves an excellent key to difficult surfaces such as ceramic wall tiles, the Bulls Eye 123 is recoatable after a minimum of 1 hour with your chosen topcoat, allowing you to complete your project in record time. For best results we recommend making sure the tiles are completely clean, dry and free from any contamination that will stop the paint from keying, to do this wash the tiles with a hot water/liquid detergent solution, rinse with fresh warm water ( no detergent) frequently changing the water to remove all soap residues and when dry give the surface a final degrease with methylated spirit before applying the Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 Primer (make sure you also allow the grouting between the tiles to dry thoroughly before priming)

Answer:
Although the Bulls Eye 123 is excellent for blocking bitumen stains penetrating through your decorative finish we do not recommend it is used on a roof, I'm sorry we do not have a product for this particular application.

Answer:
I'm sorry the Bulls Eye 123 primer Sealer is not suitable for this project. Our best recommendations are to remove all traces of wax with a proprietary wax remover, following the manufacturers recommendations before applying a the Zinsser B-I-N Primer.(29661) The BIN Primer gives excellent adhesion to the prepared surface to prevent chipping and can be over coated with your gloss paint after a minimum of 45 minutes.
