Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Had my doubts, especially given the price. Works extremely well and you wash the brush out in water!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Score a bull Really good coverage, with no fiddly surface preperation, easy to apply, could be messy but a little care gave a top class job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great primer!! I used this on glass jars before I decoupaged them and the primer stuck so well on the glass. Ieft it a few days and tried a scratch test with my nails and nothing chipped off. Ive yet to use this on an ikea laminate veneer wardrobe I hope it works as well or my wardrobe will be ruined. Will give a review afterwards.

Can this be used to prime a stone fireplace surround, not the actual fireplace?

I am looking to update the fireplace in our living room. The actual fireplace is in good condition but the surround is a bit battered so we want to paint it for an update.

Glossed walls

Hi, my tenants have painted internal walls with dark grey gloss paint. Can I use this primer and put straight on to the glossed walls and then emulsion? Do I just need one coat of primer? Thanks
Asked by: Landlord1111
Hi. Thank you for your enquiry. Bullseye 1-2-3 would be the perfect for this particular project. It has unparalleled adhesion to any surface providing great key. 1 or 2 coats of Bullseye 1-2-3 primer is recommended, to be applied by brush or roller at a coverage rate of approx. 10m²/L/coat. Always ensure that the surface has prepared sufficiently i.e., with hot soapy water then rinsed with fresh warm water to remove detergent and when dry a good wipe with methylated spirit. Once the Bullseye 1-2-3 primer has dried (minimum of 1 hour) you can overcoat it with your chosen decorative topcoat, oil based or water based. Zinsser Perma-White Interior (Matt 1 litre = 1289G or 2.5 litre = 3939G or Satin 1 litre = 13040 or 2.5 litre = 62096) would be a suitable finishing coat. 2 coats are recommended to providing a durable, cleanable, long lasting decorative finish and can be over coated after a minimum of 2 hours. Hope this helps

What primer is best to use for a new garden bar which is natural in colour but would like to paint it light brown

Asked by: Sabin
Hi Sabin. Thank you for your enquiry. It really does depend what your garden bar is made from. Bullseye 1-2-3 would be the perfect option for a metal surface but Cover Stain (17114 for 1 litre & 17117 for 2.5 litre) is the best one for exterior wood. Both of which can be applied by brush or roller at a coverage rate of 10m²/L. Bullseye 1-2-3 can be coated after 1 hour but Cover Stain has a slightly longer re-coat time of 2 hours. Once allowed to fully dry both can be coated with your chosen decorative finish, oil or water based. Hope this helps.

Composite door

Can I b use this to paint my composite front door?
Asked by: Ando79
Hi Ando79. Thank you for your email. As composite door surfaces (usually GRP - Glass reinforced plastic) tends to have a wax like finish we would also advise lightly abrading the surface area. Once the Bullseye 1-2-3 primer has dried (minimum of 1 hour) you can overcoat it with your chosen decorative topcoat, oil based or water based. Hope this helps
