Rated 5 out of 5 by A great product As a primer I do not think there is better. I have not found a surface it does not stick and I mean stick to. Have use over very old lacquered doors and it still works 5 Jul 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Primer I bought this for use when painting old furniture. Even 'though chalk paint can be used without a primer, I find that I get better results when I use one. This is brilliant for using on dark wood and means that I have no 'Bleed Through' when using a light coloured paint on top. It really isn't that much more expensive than some other primers and certainly does a brilliant job! To all painting enthusiasts out there - look no further than this fab product. You won't be disappointed! 14 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by As good as previous reviews I was recommended this by another DIY'er and it was as good as he said. Coverage excellent, easy to work with, providing a good firm base for the gloss topcoat. Brush washing out a real bonus. 6 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A product you can rely on A great product from a brand that you can trust. It primes....it seals.....it blocks stains......and its water based so easy clean up Can be over painted in an hour so causes minimum delays to work schedule, low odour so good in domestic situations and I usually apply it with a 4" roller when just covering patches. Dries to a great, flat, matt surface ready for over painting 14 May 2016

I want to paint over the primer with Farrow & Ball paint. Whilst they were unable to recommend a particular primer they did say it should be water based.

Answer:
The Bulls Eye 123 would be the best recommendation, however as the bath is brand new for optimum adhesion we recommend preparing the acrylic by lightly abrading the surface and degreasing with methylated spirit prior to applying the Bulls Eye 123 primer, the painted surface should be protected from knocks, scratches etc for a minimum of 7 days after application.

Answer:
Sorry, the Bulls Eye 123 primer is not suitable for use on floors so would not be a recommended primer for a self levelling compound. We do not have a product within the Zinsser range suitable for this application.

Answer:
There are two options to resolve ghosting of the primer when it has been used as a spot primer only, one is to prime the whole area with the Bulls Eye 123 up to a natural break the other is to apply a higher hiding topcoat such as Zinsser Perma-White Interior Matt (1289G)

Answer:
Zinnser Bulls Eye 123 Primer is an excellent primer for MDF and can be applied by brush or roller, for a large flat area a small short nap mohair roller would be ideal. The Bulls Eye 123 can be over coated after a minimum of 1 hour with your chosen topcoat, water based or oil based.
