Safe fusing to shed wiring
power to my shed.
Would this mcb cut the power quicker than having to burn fuse wire out or do I need to add a separate rcb also.
consumer unit with rcb's in the shed already.
Hi, Sorry but we are unable to answer this query and suggest you consult a qualified electrician.

6A, 16A and 32A SP Type B Compatibility
Hi, my old WYLEX unit currently has re-wirable fuses, are the SP Type B Curve MCB's suitable replacements for these?
3 x 30A Fuse -> 32A MCB
1 x 15A Fuse -> 16A MCB
2 x 5A Fuse -> 6A MCB
Yes, those are the correct replacements. Thank you for choosing Wylex.

Is a 16 amp mcb OK to to replace a older version fuse in consumer unit
Want to fit a Wylex b type curve 16 amp is this ok for power points for domestic appliances or do fit a 6 amp
Yes the B16 will fit as a replacement for a fuse. You would need to change the coloured base with fuse to one that comes with the MCB and then it will fit. Also what might be a problem is when the B16 is fitted you will not get the fuse cover to fit, what you need to do is on the inside of the fuse cover is a knockout this needs to be removed then the fuse cover will fit leaving a skirting around the devices.
