Triton T30i BQ3A3034I Handwash 3kW Oversink Water Heater
Stupid design flaw
I have found these units reliable but they have, in my view, one very big design flaw. This is that the hot water outlet comes from the left side of the unit.
As we all know, the convention is that hot water is the left hand tap on a sink or basin, so for the outlet to sit on the left hand side of a basin the body of the unit ends up being largely above the basin. This is rubbish from the point of view of tiling behind the basin as the body of the unit is sitting where you want to put the tiles.
It would be vastly better if the hot water outlet came from the right hand side of the unit so that you can fix it to the wall to the side of the basin, leaving space behind the basin to place the tiles, and maybe a mirror as well.
Unfortunately most of these instant water heaters are the same, which is highly frustrating. I can't imagine why the manufacturers can't think of these issues themselves...

Got this to replace over sink water heater that was twice the size, saves loads of space, was easy to fit and works better than the bigger one did.

did the job!
This over the sink water heater was perfect for the job Not replacing like for like but still reasonably straightforward to install in about 2 hours. Good, clean, neat appearance. Have bought a 2nd one for another job. More than a year's guarantee would have been a bonus.

Triton is a good reliable company and I would recommend this 3W water heater, BUT be aware that the water delivery is not much more than a trickle. With spray attachment it is better, so as a quick hand washer it will do. Don't think of filling the bath with it.
