Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! I looked at others from bigger named brands, but they were far too expensive. This give ls you everything you need at a fraction of the cost. That doesn't mean poor quality either! I bought this for managing my front & rear gardens and have not been disappointed with the result! I haven't used the pruner attachment yet but it's as good as the trimmer I can't wait!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must have bit of kit I bought this in a screwfix sale. I must admit that, at the price, I thought that it would not be very good. I was wrong! As a pro gardener I have put this through its paces over the last 8 months and it has never let me down. The engine is easy to start but because it is 2 stroke make sure that you wear ear defenders. I mainly use the hedge trimmer and pole saw (chainsaw) attachments to cut branches and trim hedges without the need to use ladders. It makes jobs where accessibility is difficult much easier. The biggest plus is the wide variety of angles that you can use. Very light on fuel (runs for hours on one tank) and easy to clean. The only downside is that the securing clamps to fit the attachments are easily broken but I fixed this with a 10mm bolt. All in all a great bit of kit that makes my job much easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Cheap Multi Purpose Tool When first purchased this got use 3 to 4 hours every weekend without any issue. It was initially used to clear large areas of undergrowth and prune back bushes which had become overgrown for which I found the various attachments (and extension pole) very useful. Now it just gets used for a couple of hours every month. I can understand other reviewers frustrations with the workmanship, as occasionally I have had to fiddle about with the engine to get it up and running (not what you want when you have a job to do!) but for the price I think it is good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Super tool This is the second multi tool that I have bought, One lives in France and the new one in UK. I have found all of the tools very reliable and use them frequently. Some points to remember: the priming button is on the end of the motor unit and can be damaged if you store or change tools with the motor on end; also you do need to grease the heads regularly although this is not made clear in the instruction book. Customer support from Titan is superb. When I broke the primer, they sent me all of the parts required to fix it by return of post and at no charge.

Round file size for the chain?

The manual says use a round file 1.1 x the cutting depth. This is a little vague. In terms of real sizes so there can be no mistake what size is recommended for the factory fitted chain - 4mm, 4.2mm, 4.8mm or 5.2mm, 5.5mm etc., etc..
Asked by: Kryten602
Hi Kryten602, The chain is an Oregon 91PJ033X, which is a 3/8" low profile chain. Various online sources state that a 4mm round file is required. The Oregon File Guide 4.00mm - 16265 is ideal, although unfortunately this is not stocked by Screwfix at present. Thanks for using Screwfix Q&A.

Safety Pin Size

There is a safety pin (split pin) for use with the metal blade which secures the nut in place. What size is this pin? Unfortunately my dog has relieved me of my spares.

Issues with cutting out

I've had issues. Only set up brush cutter so far. Engine starts no problem. When opening throttle it struggles. Scraping sound audible, disk then slows, engine eventually cuts out if throttle left open. Any ideas? Maybe I have one with faulty bearings?
