Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Pump Bought this at short notice to help prevent flooding in recent heavy rain. Shifts large amounts of water quickly and prevented our land drains from being overwhelmed by floodwater by diverting some of the water to an alternate drain for a couple of hours. Worked extremely well. Keeping it handy for next time! 25 Jun 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pump Review Purchased this pump due to a water spring appearing in the garden. Emergency sump hole needed emptying. This pump is great, no problems setting it up, lifted water 2 meters and out to drain at last 30 meters away. Handled it with ease. One down side is the float itself, it advises that you can shorten float by putting it into the slot on the side, be careful as its a tight fit and you could catch the outer rubber. A small amount of oil helped fix that then covered it with good electrical tape to keep it all together. Due to the fact that I had it on a short float lead the the angle of the float was quite severe and after 4 months the inner cable core split and damaged the outer cable. Would suggest the hole you are using is deep enough and wide enough to have the float free, I reckon 80 cm x 80cm would do it, but only my opinion. Otherwise great pump and it can shift a lot of water 19 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Titan pump Bought this pump as had a problem with moving some flood water. This pump is very efficient combined with a suitable hose or pipe work at moving the water quickly to where you need. 22 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent powerful water pump Bought to empty a big hot tub to a drain 20 metres away. Emptied it in minutes. I bought the 1.25 inch delivery hose rather than the layflat hose after reading reviews. The 1.25 hose worked very well. The hose needs securing to the pump with a jubilee clip to prevent it coming off due to the power of the pump. The cut off float works very well. 4 May 2016

Answer:
Hi Browny1, The maximum head or vertical distance this will pump is 8 metres where the Maximum Pump Flow Rate is 225 Litres/minute . Performance will drop off proportionally depending on the diameter and length of the delivery pipe and also the distance it has to pump. Keeping the head to a minimum will help increase the flow rate. I hope this information is of help to you.

Answer:
Hi Steboy,

For the pump to function most effectively it is advisable that it is fully submerged, perhaps digging a hole the size of the pump would enable you to completely drain the footing, after which re fill said hole?

Thank you for using Q and A.

The manual says 25 mm (outer thread) for connector, 38 mm (outer thread) for adaptor.

1¼" as recommended by staff is too small.

It looks like the adapter needs cutting to eliminate the smaller 1 inch restriction.

Which size hose do I need?

Unfortunately we would only be able to give you advice that matches the manual. it may be best to go into store with the pump and the staff will be happy to find a hose that fits.

Thank you for using Q and A.

Answer:
Hi,
I can confirm that a 38mm hose is required. I bought a 32mm hose and it didn't fit properly, and ended up making a slit in the end and putting a jubilee clip on to secure. This is so misleading as on page 10 of the manual, it clearly states 38mm!

PLEASE CHANGE THIS INFO SCREWFIX.

Apart from that it's a great pump, I use mine all the time.
