Rated 4 out of 5 by titan cicular saw good quality for the price, soft start a good feature, it does a good job,the laser keeps you on the straight. very impressed. 13 Jun 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Brilliant entry level kit Trimmed 4 doors, built a work bench and cut loads of firewood with this saw in the past month, and it's been a pleasure to use. At such a low price I wasn't sure if the reviews could be trusted, but it's a really great bit of kit. The blade it comes with is for rougher cuts, so make sure you grab a different blade if needed. One is linked in the Q&A section. 2 Jun 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by needs better quality control Not had much luck with this circular saw. The first one had a missing button for the laser guide. This wasn't a deal breaker so I decided to use it anyway. When I started it up it made the distinct ringing sound of metal hitting metal....So that one went back. The second one had an even worse sound on start up, more like a grinding noise. I can see that the spindle seems slightly off centre. Does no-one check this stuff in the factory? Disappointed. 18 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lady DIY'er proof As a reluctant female diy'er I find this saw perfect for my needs. Lightweight enough but powerful enough to cut through many thicknesses of wood (and no accidents) 9 Apr 2016

Cutting Sleepers

Would this product be suitable for cutting sleepers 200mm x 100 mm? I assume with 66mm cut depth this should be OK as sleepers can be flipped to complete cut.

Hello JPT7. Without opting for a much larger circular saw this would be an option. Hope that helps.

Thank you for using Q&A.

Answer:
Hello,

Yes, as long as the patio slab is within the maximum cut depth of the saw which is 66mm and ensure that the blade is a masonry one suitable for cutting the material of the slab.

Hi Diyer2k,

Although you will be able to use the blade that comes with the machine a finer tooth blade would give a "cleaner" cut on the laminate.

Thank you for using Q and A.

Answer:
You will need to use the supplied blade and ones of similar dimensions, this is due to the power of the machine and the disc will spin too quickly which is a health and safety concern.
