Worth the extra money for a pretty much idiot proof fixing.

Wall plugs are not all the same. If you use a lot of wall-plugs or you just like them to work every time then look no further. The lugs, the shape, the bore of the plug and the outside diameter all have to be spot on for a trouble-free and lasting fix. That's before you start to worry about the hardness of the plastic: too hard and it won't grip the wall; too soft and the screw will chew it up. No surprise then that these plugs are outstanding.

I Hate Them
I bought a pack of these things because my daughter had my favourite wall plugs. Be very careful with these things as they are blind, there is no through hole. If your screw is longer than the plug end the screw could (will) jam and if you are using your new deWalt drill/screwdriver the screw could (in my case did) shear off. I ended up spending the rest of the afternoon getting the bits out of the wall.
Agreed, they are very secure in the wall. I found them too tight given the 6mm hole and No 8 screws and found I needed to drill a through pilot hole. Found a 6.5mm hole in the wall better.

best red rawl plugs
the best red rawl plugs I've ever used. Work in a lot of wall materials and give great grip, definitely recommended.
