All metal construction and a sturdy piece of kit. Lightweight and handy, and can't beat the price.

The blades supplied with most "cheap" branded hacksaws are normally poor quality and don't last more than a few seconds when cutting steel. This saw seemed to be slightly better quality but never used as I returned it for an Irwin saw. Doesn't had a 45 degree adjustment though which can make cutting in small spaced difficult.

I bought this saw for a particular job. I needed to terminate SWA cable at 16 different points. Those who have done this will know its quite a time consuming job. The saw cut through 6mm 3 core with out effort. It was then light enough to score the wire strands to allow them to be removed very easily.
The blade supplied with the saw is still as good as new and has since done many other cutting jobs without fault.
Exceptional value for money and worthy of a place in my toolbag.
