Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could be better The instructions could be better Over complicated for the general public person to fit and understand over time ( Keep one of the instruction booklets ) Screen displays has been designed by an IT geek and not for easy pick up fit and use installment use. Internal light could be brighter. Don't fit in your bedroom if you want a good night's sleep. Servo motor to noisy for bedrooms. Fit rechargeable batteries to these unit's. Though I say invest in good quality rechargeable batteries these days as it's a no brainer and so much cheaper in the long run. Screw cap to the radiator valve body could be stronger. Fitted cheap Poundland etc batteries and it's not going to last 5 minutes. Fitted for a year now with same batteries. Still working great so far. More accurate than a standard TRV when fitted properly. ( Make sure they are fitted tightly on and in the FULL on position on the display NOT in the OFF position )Don't over tighten the locking nut to the valve body though. I suggest only Pegler valve body fitting / replacement. If you have a standard Pegler TRV then it should be a straight swap / easy fitment. If your original is not leaking and in good condition then just stick the digital head on it. Will save you money in the long run. As for all TRV's though. . They only work fully if you ZONE your rooms. That means SHUT your doors for each room ( don't have to be latched up ( but helps ) Then the heat is more controlled. Don't fit one of these or any TRV near a Room Stat as this would be pointless ( It's surprising how many do ) Hope this helps.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not cat proof As per the other comments they worked well at first when I eventually got them to work with the range of radiator valves and then with a couple of problems the valves can only be programmed in-place on the valve so you need good eyesight if your valve are placed out of the way as mine, and again when you replace the batteries. All mine have stopped working but this is now well after the quarantine so they don't last as long as standard radiator thermostatic valves. Oh yes I fitted one to a friends house that had cats and the cat broke it off as it squeezed itself between the control and the radiator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great simple TRV Needed something to zone off two large bedrooms, one lounge and an ensuite. Setting up was a doddle as well as fitting on my existing Honeywell TRV bodies. Only been a few days but loving the ability to reduce heating oil wastage. Motors make a noise on adjustment but nothing to worry about. Time will tell on savings but happy about not having to walk up three flightsvof stairs to twiddle with manual TRV's.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work! After wasting about an hour setting it up I soon noticed that the radiator was always on. I therefore gave it the benefit of the doubt, reset it and wasted another hour setting it up again. Turns out the pin on the devise doesn't compress the valve pin on the rad enough and even when it thinks it is off there is still water flow into the rad and hence the rad is always on! It is missing some other fairly basic functions, like letting you know what temperature it currently is in the room so you can a just accordingly. And I wish I'd listened to people about the noise! I installed this in the bedroom and even though I'm a heavy sleeper it woke me up several times in the week before I returned it!

Where can I check the installation instructions

Asked by: Antwa

Does Pegler TRV work on a unvented boiler?

Asked by: Madeit

Will this valve fit a Drayton trv4 .

Asked by: Matey245
It states that it will but be warned I am about to return this because it doesn't fully compress the valve pin on a Drayton RT212 and hence the rad is always on!
