Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality Product very good product works for me especially when I am pressed for time trying to get a job done for a customer. its easy to mix comes in sealled bags and mixing tub for less mess, good for the tradesmen and DIY'er. Slightly pricey if you need to cover a big area but ideal for smaller areas. 28 Apr 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Beware setting time No information provided on setting times. Beware it will go off rapidly in warm conditions and once it starts, there is no stopping it. Went from watery mix to solid lump that wouldn't pour out of the bucket in about 10 minutes. If you are aware and well prepared, then fine, but beware! 22 Mar 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Self Smoothing Compound The product requires mixing well so use a drill and paddle. Be aware that to use part of the product there are 2.4L of liquid and 10 kg of powder base. I measured these and weighed exactly as I wanted to mix half. When estimating coverage volumes allow extra probably 20 to 30 percent extra as even with precise calculations I was short of product until I did this, I now assume 10kg per pack not the 12.5 kg total pack weight including liquid. The product lays bonds and feathers well. 8 Mar 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Use a straight edge Convenient to mix with exact amount of liquid/additive supplied. However didn't really pool properly into all the depressions. Need to add to the instructions 'use a straight edge to spread evenly and fill all depressions and avoid raised edges at the perimeter of the compound' to avoid having to grind the surface back as I had to do (extremely dusty). You live and learn! 16 Dec 2015

Answer:
Hi Snowbiker,

It is unlikely that this will work for you as there may be movement in the floor that would cause this product to crack.

Thank you for using Q and A.

Answer:
Hi there,
I can't give you an accurate idea of thickness but I want to say that the floor we laid was in the region of 5mm. We found that one tub covered 1.5 meters of flooring.Fortunately we had a small space to to rework otherwise it could become quite an expensive venture, as a single tub doesn't really cover that much space.
Having said that, it is a really easy to use product and it seems to do the trick.
