The fixing holes are set equally across the rear face, without consideration for what they are to be affixed to. The weatherproof cover is not fixed to the box, merely pinched between it and the wall. However, if you align the bottom of the box at the bottom of a standard housebrick, to ensure a good pinch, the two centre holes (of 4) are aligned with mortar, not brick. Not secure.
Trying to align all the fixing holes with brick is difficult as they are just far enough apart to align with the edges, but then the bottom edge is over mortar, so will not pinch the cover, so it will fall off.
The front cover was also loose when shut, so will do nothing to deter the weather from getting in, although not loose enough to create a security issue.
Overall very disappointed and returned for a refund.

With its weather-shield cover this is quite a big item to try to mount inconspicuously on a cream wall so its embossed Master Lock logo on the cover is of no consequence! I like its code setting which can have more than the usual four digits and is not obvious to passers-by should it be left open by the carer between collecting the key and returning it.

I'm at an age when this sort of thing is becoming necessary and am delighted with it.
There are others and cheaper, my neighbour describes it as a 'Rolls Royce key safe'!
Even the provided screws are excellent quality!!
I wanted push button not the roll-over numbers.

This secure key box is idea for what we wanted, it allows drivers to leave keys in a secure place for collection by the next driver. It is simple to fix to the wall and very strong. It uses push buttons to operate which is much easier than the tumble type. I am so impressed I am thinking of getting one for home.
