Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good. Happy with this product, done the job very well. Strong and aesthetically pleasing. 12 Aug 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the job well Have used these at work to bolt laptops down with Kensington locks, and also at home to tether a gazebo to and so far have worked well. 13 Jul 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Looking good Attractive, highly polished eye plates. I fitted these in an exposed semi coastal location several months ago and there is no sign of corrosion to date; the japanned ones used before were rusty within a couple of weeks. The stainless screws supplied are a bonus, but the heads seemed quite soft, so care is needed when fitting. 21 Jun 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good corrosion resistance Not sure what the previous reviewers are talking about, but the description is 304 grade which is A2. If they want A4 then they need to look for 316. That said, 304 is good for general corrosion resistance, but don't expect it not to tarnish outside (especially near the coast). For true "marine" grade, find 316 or A4 stainless steel. 29 May 2015

Answer:
Hello Woodytess,

The eye is approximately 20x32mm internally.

If your rope is malleable enough it might be worth a try, but I suspect they're going to be too small.
