Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product Replaced my old manrose fan with this one. Not much quieter but works better than my old one so not such a problem. The only thing I would say for people who haven't got enough knowledge to change a fan the instructions aren't very clear but I was fine as I'm in the trade and mainly install similar types. Also doesn't come with a timer as it's only a standard which wasn't highlighted in the spec.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but quiet? Not as quiet as I had hoped for but definitely quieter, more efficient and cheaper to run than the fan it replaced

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made, Sturdy Seems well made, replaced my Monrose Gold after 6 years so hope this will last, purchased this model as it states its only 27db but to be honest I cannot tell the difference in sound as my Gold version was 41db, but only took a few minutes to replace as the back plate fitted so didn't have to change, The extractor motor and fan sit higher in the housing away from the grill and it incorporates a backdraft shutter so hope this will not rattle if we get a high wind but its fitted to the ceiling so this should help, fitted in my ensuite . given 4 stars for reliability as I expected my Gold version to last longer than the 6 years, just out of warrantee.

is this switchable; does it have a pull switch?

Asked by: andrewpain
Hello, yes this is a remote switching unit, however it does not have an integral pull switch. You would need the Manrose reference QF100P pullcord fan.

Will this fan fit directly into a Manrose 90 degree elbow (PC 96549) without the backdraught shutters binding ?

Just wondering if this fan should fit straight into the elbow with enough space for the shutters to open correctly.....Thanks in advance.
Asked by: dalong
It is not advisable to have an obstruction (bend) immediately after the air output. the air should travel at least a metre before hitting any obstruction.

Manrose QF100S Extractor Fan

Could anyone let me know if the back draught shutters should be fitted with one or two return springs. The single return spring fitted to the back draught shutters on the fan that I just purchased does not appear to be strong enough. Thanks in advance.
Asked by: dalong
All backdraught shutters are installed with one spring, This does not keep the sutters shut, but keeps them at a angle so that they close when there is wind blowing from outside. having 2 springs will restrict the airflow and have a detremental effect on the function of the fan.

Can this fan be ceiling mounted? The Manrose website implies it can but the Screwfix description implies it is only for wall mounting

Asked by: Dalan
Hi, The QF100S can be ceiling mounted.
