A good handheld vacuum, perfect for the small jobs on site. It is essential to clean the filters out after every use. Not great on carpets but very good for smooth surfaces.

Not for trade!
I'm an Electrician and I have Makita everything, have spent a fortune on it and always been happy until I bought this.
Fine brick dust goes straight through the filter and out the back creating a thick cloud of dust.
Capacity wise when hoovering dust etc it holds a quarter of its capacity before becoming useless.
The filter also clogs up very easily.
I don't think i expected too much for the money, just a vacuum that vacuums. I wouldn't expect a machine like this to pick up lumps of brick or anything big but I would expect it to pick up dust!
When I tried this in the car or on the stairs it was fine but Makita is trade brand and I expected better. If this were Black and Decker I would understand but I don't know why Makita would put out such a poor product.
Looks like I won't be ditching the Henry Hoover anytime soon!

I brought one as i have the makita range,i cant believe how good it is compared to the other ones out there,i lent it to my mother for doing the stairs and ended up getting her a set up as it was so good i thought i wouldnt get it back.
Pretty cheap if you already have the batteries and charger as i had, still worth getting a battery and charger though if you dont have them already as better than all the other cordless ones out there for work use.
I use mine with the 3.0 ah battery and it lasts for a good while, just need to keep the filter clean which takes no time.
