Rated 5 out of 5 by Good stuff Frigate grey is an attractive light shade. It's vital to seal your concrete floor properly first (I sprayed 2-3 coats) and this paint covers well, provided you dilute it far more than the recommended 5% - I used around 20% white spirit. Mix thoroughly though, both in the can and in the paint kettle as you work: as other users have found, blue pigment separates out if you don't. 13 Jul 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Floored Once again I've repainted my garage floor, it keeps the dust down and makes it easier to keep clean. The Leylland Heavy Duty paint is ideal for the job, easy to brush on with little odour and touch dry in about 3 hours, but leave overnight be walking on it. I've used it before in my garage and workshops and it has always gives a good finish. Being able to pre order and collect also is a time saver, so a good experience all round.an 7 Jul 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Leyland Trade Heavy Duty Floor I bought this to seal the concrete floor to my garage. The paint gave very good coverage and goes on easy. I have got away with one coat only, although I have previously sealed the floor (using another product). The drying time for me was approx 36 hours, this was when it was dry enough to walk on. However I would definitely recommend this product. 16 May 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by shocking we had a new concrete path added to a field that lead to a wooden cabin, so we wanted to paint the path to stop concrete dust etc, we got 4-5 tins of this paint and applyed it on a dry day and had no one using the path intill it was dry, 3 coats had been applyed and after 2 months the whole painted area started to crack and flake away, it now looks a mess and flakes of paint everywhere. pretty shocking when you think your ment to be able to move cars etc on this paint yet foot traffic is a problem. 13 May 2016

Hello. We do not have a product which I can recommend as a sealer for the dusty floor. the floor will need to be cleaned thoroughly and the dust swept/hovered up. if the floor is unpainted, thin your 1st coat of paint with 5% white spirit, then apply 2 coats. For a previously painted floor, apply 2 coats. Thanks

Will this paint seal the smell in the concrete so I can no longer smell it?
I have treated the concrete with both biological soap powder and white vinegar now running out of options
Thanks

Hello. Because the Leyland Trade Heavy Duty Floor Paint is not a breathable product, I would imagine that this should seal in any odours from the floor. if the concrete is unpainted, thin the 1st coat with up to 5% white spirit. Once dry apply 2 full coats. Thanks

Hello. The Leyland Trade Heavy Duty Floor Paint is considered as having a low slip potential, therefore it has an excellent degree of slip resistance. However, it would not be considered as totally non slip. I hope this helps. Thanks

Would you use a roller to apply this paint to a concrete floor and if so what type roller, and presumably a brush to cut in? Thanks.

Answer:
Hello. yes I would use a roller - either a medium pile, or a short pile if the floor is particularly flat and smooth. use a brush to cut in the edges, then roller up as close as possible to these areas in order to create a more uniform finish. Thanks
