Rated 5 out of 5 by from great paint Have used this paint on lots of jobs & it has great coverage & drying time. It is a great product at a great price & I use no other white matt emulsion paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I had a two story side extension built 8m X 3.6m (six rooms in total) and have used between 50-60l of this paint in firstly misting and then two further coats all round, including ceilings,I have been really impressed by the finish, The three coats on fresh plaster has left a lovely base to then paint vinyl onto and 'colour' the rooms. I have now used the vinyl matt on the ceilings too which I also recommend. I will use this paint again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goldilocks Paint No frills, general white matt emulsion that went on really well with the roller, had an ideal consistency (not too runny, not too thick) and left a very high quality smooth finish. I used two coats of this on freshly plastered walls after two coats of No Nonsense Straight To Plaster undercoat and I'm very impressed with the results. I'll definitely use again.

Hello Guestie

This paint has fantastic Opacity - hiding power, but to be honest you may need Three coats to get a solid finish. I think this would be the same with most paints.

Good luck!

Misting

Hi there

I have newly plastered extension.
Is this a good paint for misting and what ratio do I need to apply with Water : Paint.

How many coats do I apply and to what rations?

Kind regards

Answer:
Hello banshee09. Contract paints are designed primarily for new plaster which has not yet fully dried - it is a highly breathable product so allows to plaster to continuously dry. I would suggest for your 1st coat to thin this down with up to 10% clean water. Once dry apply 2 full coats. However please note, because of the high levels of breathability this product is not durable, it will mark and scuff easily. As an alternate option you can wait until the plaster has fully dried, then thin the 1st coat down of your desired topcoat (for example the Leyland Trade Vinyl Matt which is known as being 'wipeable'). Thanks

Answer:
Hello. the Leyland Trade Contract Matt is a highly breatheable product. primarily for new work, this could be used in an area such as a bathroom ceiling. However, due to the quick drying and absorbency of this paint, it is often difficult to achieve a uniform finish. I would suggest the use of a Vinyl Matt instead. Thanks

Hello Animatrix. Yes this will be fine to use on a ceiling. However I would avoid using it as a final coat for your walls, and it is not designed to be a durable product. Thanks
