Rated 3 out of 5Â by frimleyfrodo DAB aerials should be vertical
For optimum DAB reception, the aerial should be vertically polarized, NOT horizontal as shown in the picture!
Broadcasters use polarization for discrimination between transmitters so mounting a DAB aerial with the rods horizontal will reduce the received signal by about two thirds.
With the rods vertical and mounted in clear space this is a good omnidirectional aerial for reasonable signal areas.

Bought this for my new Stereo System and I have to say it makes DAB Sound Great, The size of this Aerial allows me to put it behind my Satellite Dish so it is hidden.

Brilliant little aerial, we now have strong clear reception and more stations than we thought possible for DAB in our area. Mounted on a external wall using the Labgear L-Cranked Mast
