I saw the reviews that said that these were ok and gave them a chance. Used 13 or 14 on 2.5mm T&E with a ratchet crimp tool and not a single one held. Returned for refund. On the way to SF, I called in the at local DIY store to compare and the ones in the shop had a noticeably smaller internal diameter and held first time, every time.

I've used around a dozen of these and so far have not had any problems with them. They must have improved since the poor reviews last year and I would buy another pack when needed.

Purchased these before from SF and had no problems but SF must have changed supplier.
Previous ones had double crimping sleeves. These do not.
These ones do not get a tight grip and can be pulled apart. I used a pro crimper. Frustrating and very costly in time.
Interestingly, since coming back to the SF website to check, in the spec' they do not say they conform to BS4579 or BS4G178, which is the British Standard for the specification and performance of mechanical and compression joints in electric cable and wire connectors.
I hope this info' helps others because you have to have confidence on your electrical connections.

Bought these before - hoped new packet would be better quality.
Compared to other brands does not grip cable very well (2.5 solid)
Half of them go in the bin - not much metal in crimp - maybe due to copper prices.
Used pro crimper.
In short unreliable
