Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and goes in straight I've used two and they are brilliant, drove in straight down the corner of existing concrete footing (the post was well rotted inside). The bolt makes it easy to fit as you can use an off cut of a 75mm post to drive it in without it getting stuck and you can easily remove the post to help with adjustments. With a 75mm post I found it possible to make small adjustments to ensure the post was vertical (although this was only necessary on one post). I drove the spike in too far on the first post and split the footing, however it still holds strong but something to bear in mind. Very quick to install. Cannot really comment on reliability since they went in only a week ago. I will be using these to maintain the remaining fence as required.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good repair system Fence repair spike did the job as intended, very solid. Easy to install as long as you drive the spike between the old post and the concrete exactly in the corner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fence repair spike Bought this product after reading the previous reviews and they were spot on. It took me less than hour to prepare the broken post hole to flitting the new post. The bolt on the side is a great idea which allows the post slide in easily and then tighten up.

My fence posts are 7.5 by 10.5 would these fence repair spikes adjust.
Asked by: Penwen
Hello Penwen, Unfortunately this product can not be adjusted. The largest Fence spike we stock is 100 x 100mm. This can be found by searching 'Fence Post Spike 100 x100' into the Screwfix Search Bar. Thank you for using Q&A. (LM).

How far in does it go

How far in does the spike go in . When the left over wood rots does it become loose
Asked by: codkingy
Hello codkingy, The spike goes 300mm under the surface. If the wood is untreated and rots then it may struggle to stay secure in the post spike. Thank you for using Q and A, EC.

Would this spike be suitable to install a Garden arch?

I'm replacing my garden arch, & there is concrete in the ground where where the previous one was. Do you think this repair spike would be strong enough to support the arch, pls? (rather than using fence post spikes) Thx

Hi, I just want to know if I'd need any additional tools apart from a shedge hammer? I see there's a post driving tool but it appears to be too wide at 100mm

Asked by: KevnR
Hi KevnR, The minimum you would required would be the hammer, but a post driver in the correct size would be a useful addition. Thank you for using Q and A.
