Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid at all cost Moved into a new property with an old worn stat (covered in paint / dust the works). I needed a two wire no volt to the contact stat and this was the answer. It was very straight forward to install but then came the problems. The stat would be set to say 21 and climb to 21.5. The boiler light would then come on and it would run for 6 minutes before turning off. On and off on and of every 6 minutes. Is it a faulty boiler I thought so I called them and they said no as the stat turns is the unit demanding the heat.. so why was it turning on so much and when it was above the required temp?? So I did so research online and it turns out rather then just reading the room temp and turning the boiler on and off it wants to be clever. It tries to learn a pattern by doing these test cycles in stages. So for example. Day 1.. If you set it to 22 it will run these 6 minute short bursts to see how long it takes to heat up. It will then use this information in the future.. oh last time it was 22 it took x amount of minutes so I need to run the boiler this long. The problem is its a long and complicated process, plus if you remove the batteries it resets the process / same if you change temp. This is why the temp is always off by about 2 degrees... You can set it to 22 but you'll get more like 24.. so you change it down to 20 thinking you will get 22 but the room temp doesn't fall quick enough so your left with cold rads for hours at a time...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Feature Rich Good build quality, simple installation, unfortunately the temperature is around 2° on the high side so consequently setting a preferred heat level is a tad hit and miss, also they could have spent an extra few pence on illuminating the display

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to fit Thermostat Has a nice LED screen on it to see what the current temperature is. Ive had it up for just over a year and works great and was fairly simple to fit.

Will this stat work on a old air fan

Asked by: Marmadukescamp

can i wire this to a drayton lifestyle lp722 programmer

Asked by: stevel456
This can be used in conjunction with an LP722. Terminal 4 of the LP722 is an output that should be connected to terminal COM on the Digistat. Terminal ON at the Digistat is the output from the thermostat that will be connected to the motorised valve, if fitted, or the boiler switched live.

would this be a straight replacement for my old drayton digistat rf2 thanks.

Asked by: monkeymitts
The RF2 is a radio frequency programmable thermostat working in conjunction with a radio frequency receiver (SCR), The Direct replacement would be a D+2RF part Number 79501 The D+RF can be used but is not a programmable thermostat part number 73146

Replacement DT20RF Thermostat

Afternoon Would the Drayton Digistat+ 30002 thermostat work as a wireless replacement? The thermostat we have has broken however the receiver in the boiler is still working. Cheers Leigh
Asked by: Whymark
The Digistat+ 30002 is NOT a suitable replacement as it it a hard wired model. The Digistat+RF 31003 would be suitable for use with the DT20RF

Wiring problem

I have just purchased a Digistat+ (30002) to replace my analogue thermostat. Having gone to install it I am a little confused as to switch way the blue connector goes on to the PCB - it will fit either way round.
Asked by: thatchamdiyer
The blue connector is fitted so that the silver screws are at the bottom allowing the wires to be easily inserted in the cable clamps
