Very easy to install and set up - quite the simplest device to programme that I have met. Good clear display and manual, too. However, it tries to be a bit too intelligent for me. It doesn't just turn on when too cold and turn off when too hot. Instead it tries to maintain a really even temperature without firing up the boiler too frequently. It does this by learning how fast your room heats up and cools down. Then every 15 minutes it decides for what proportion of the next 15 minutes it is going to run the boiler. It takes some hours to work this out, so after installation, you may find it has turned the boiler off although the room is too cold, particularly if you open a door and let in a lot of cold air. Drayton tech support responded instantly to a 'phone call and sent an explanatory datasheet. Only just installed, so can't comment on reliability yet.

To say that this digistat lacks features is nonsense. If anything, it would be fair to say that this digistat has more features han necessary, so many in fact that I tell my customers to disregard the majority of them as, to attempt to familiarise yourself with them all would most likely result in confusion.
At its most basic, you can use four buttons to program 6 different times for temperature changes which will run as a program, you can temporarily overide the program by pressing the plus and minus buttons to increase ordecrease the set temperature which will allow the timer to revert back to its program at the next scheduled change or overide completely to set to a constant temperature of your choosing. There is also a holiday mode to leave the heating off until your return. All in all, very easy to get to grips with and enough features to keep you busy for a few evenings.
This also comes with enough leaflets to line your hamster cage.

This room stat is easy to install, but the flexibility of it is poor, you get more options & better value for money with the Horstmann Centaurstat 7 Room Thermostat
