Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product Very good product to fill a small area of failed floor screed by a fireplace . Hole was 40mm x 50mm x 800mm. Only half of the tub was needed. I added about 20% sharp sand to bulk it up. Concrete goes firm in about 15 mins and too stiff to work sensibly in about 25 mins. High cement content gives a really good smooth "fat" on the surface so you can remove bubbles and ensure all the edges are filled. The finished colour is very dark grey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Quality Waterproof Cement Fast drying but easy to work cement. I've used it to repair heavy footfall access steps into our building. I think the steps will probably last longer than the building now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get's you out of trouble Used this product for the first time, mixing was easy, using it was easy, found it best to mix up small amounts at a time as it heats up whilst you work with it but it goes off very quickly and you feel it stiffening if you don't work quickly with it. Done what was expected and would definitely use again in the same circumstances. Great all round product.

Is this producr suitable to repair a threshold butting up to quarry tiles

Asked by: Pastyboy1
The Bostik Cementone Waterproof Cement Grey is a cement based mortar that is mixed with water and then can be used for applications such as floor, step and drain repair. Once applied and cured it is waterproof and can, in general be used for localised concrete floor repair including a threshold area. There is no specific information on butting up to quarry tiles, but assuming they are firmly fixed and are of a sound nature then it is not expected that there would be an issue with such an application.

Used for quarry tiles

Can this be used for quarry tiles in a close or do I need something with a bonding first time dealing with quarry tiles Thanks
Asked by: billynopals
The Cementone Waterproof Cement Grey 10 kg is a rapid setting cement based product designed for repair and maintenance applications such as floor, step, drain repair and pointing, however the product is not suitable for bonding quarry tiles. In general for bonding quarry tiles, you will need a cement based polymer modified tile adhesive suitable for quarries.

Use as render (in patches)?

There's some small areas of my kitchen wall that have been chased out (for some reason). Could I use this product as render to fill these areas?
Asked by: IainPM
The Cementone Waterproof Cement Grey 10 kg is a rapid setting premixed blend of cement, aggregates and additives designed for repair and maintenance applications for floors, drains and steps. However the product is not suitable for rendering as the cement will be harder and stronger than an exiting cement based render and so consequently it may pull off some of the existing render as it cures.

Colour of the ready product?

I would like to buy a cement mix that will closely match to the colour of the exsiting mortar. How best would you describe the colour of dried product? Light Grey, grey, dark grey - just need a rough idea. Thanks!
Asked by: KJaw
Thank you for your recent enquiry relating to our product. In answer to your question the only description we have is 'grey'. The finished shade will depend on mix ratios, amount of water added etc.. As a guide usually the finished product will be the same shade as concrete. I hope this helps.
