1¼" Bottle Trap Chrome-Plated Brass
I was replacing an identical looking trap that fell apart due to corrosion, obviously not brass, this replacement meant I had to trim a couple of mm from the exit pipework. The seal to the waste is very dodgy. On first fitting hand tight it leaked slightly so I pinched it up a touch and it then pored water everywhere. After taking it apart and relocating the seal I tightened it so it was just finger tight and it has sealed.

leaks at main seal
FAirly good metal materials, but poor rubber seals. the flat washer between the basin waste and top flange of the trap is so thin it mis-aligns and pushes up into the basin waste when you tighten. I cut a new washer from a piece of 3mm rubber sheet and solved this. So conclude the design is flawed as it doesnt fit all basin wastes. needs a thicker washer to be supplied in the kit
Also the seal on the side pipe is another very thin rubber seal which has to be tightened to the limit to make a good seal.
i'm not buying any more of these.

Great value good looks
Looks like a much more expensive trap. Easy to fit and looks perfect. Just the job for a small cloakroom basin.

Tricky, but worth the effort
It looks really nice on, but it takes a while to get it all straight, lined up and sealed.
I had to dismantle it a few times and make sure the length of the vertical tube was just right to get the horizontal tube in square with it. Trial and error really, but until it is just right the rubber seals leak slightly.
Would recommend, but don't try to rush the installation.
