Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tried 2 fans, both faulty Tried first fan with a very straight forward wiring diagram. Permanent live, permanent neutral and a switched live to the timer terminal. on connecting up the fan switched on and stayed on regardless of the switched live to the timer. Spoke to Xpelair, took the first one back and tried a second Fan, which was exactly the same! Thought I was going mad! Checked and double Checked, another faulty fan. Have just ordered Manrose equivalent and won't be buying any Xpelair equipment Again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not very quite! Bought this as I had nothing in the kitchen and the humidity was a bit too much when cooking. Installed this, and sounds like there is a helicopter landing in the back yard. Very noisy. it is the model with Humidistat, however I can't get the thing to turn off. I have turned the humidity to maximum and timer to minimum, however the fan just keeps going and going and doesn't turn off. Not happy at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says Was a bit hesitant as reviews were 50/50 but for the price compared to others it's no brainer and does exactly what it says! Although as expected not silent but didn't expect it to be.

What's the CMF

Asked by: Bollox1

Can this fan be wired to a permanant live circuit instead of switched live

Our current fan, a pull cord operated fan, is fed from the outside light, this has a perminant live and not switched live from the lighting circuit.
Asked by: Dyl1234

Has it got an ON/OFF pullswitch

Asked by: PeterDoubt
Hi there, no this model is wired typically to a lighting circuit, and the humidistat will determine when the fan is activated. If you prefer a model with a dedicated pull switch please have a look at item 1582H, which is the pull-cord operated version of DX150 - 6"/150mm fan. We hope this helps.

Do you need 2x electrical supply's as you have a timer.

Asked by: Mechlech
No. The unit is wired to and operated from a remote switch (typically a light switch). The wiring diagram is provided within the product instructions and will operated from a single switch.
