Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not compatible with UFH I've had this product for about a year and have been very happy with it (worked with my WB combi boiler), BUT be forewarned that it is not compatible with underfloor heating. Its 'multi-zone' capability is strictly to control Bosch smart TRVs, not traditional multi-zone. I've learned this the hard way as have just built an extension with UFH and will likely need to decommission the EasyControl (still investigating workarounds, but if they work will likely make it a less smart thermostat)). WB website says UFH support is 'coming soon', but i've been in touch with their technical support and they say there are technical limitations to implement it and it's not in the pipeline. :-(

How does the device detect if people are home?

How does the device detect the presence of people? Does it depend on their smart phones being present? What about pets etc?

The home and away setting is triggered by your phones location. Once you are within a 50metre radius of your geo-location it will switch to your home settings. If you have pets we would recommend that your away temperatures are set accordingly for them when you're not around.

Will this work with a baxi duo

Is this limited to Worcester only or will it work on baxi boilers

To use on other manufacturers you must use it in conjunction with the EasyControl Adaptor.

I'm going to install this with a WB 4000 boiler system. Would I need anything else to set this system up? I'm assuming TRV's but is there anything else needed please?

For it to work with a system boiler you must have the integral diverter valve kit fitted - 7733601251. If you want it to speak to the boiler wirelessly you would also need the EasyControl wireless RF key 7738112351.

Does it come with easycontrol adaptor?

I understand it needs the easy control adaptor to make it suitable for older boilers, is this true?

Boilers that do not have EMS will need the adaptor. The EasyControl does not come with this as not all boilers need it. It will need to be ordered separately.
