Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tile Saver Got this to cut awkward shape cuts round plug sockets and edge of cupboards. So pleased I did as it works really well , just remember it’s not a wood saw and don’t use too much pressure . Perfect !!

would this cope with quarry tile?

I need to trim a narrow, 4-inch strip off quarry tile. Has anyone tried this saw on quarry tiles? Not sure if it would cope! Or any other recommendation for this small, one-off, fiddly job! Thanks

Thank you for your enquiry and interest in Vitrex products. Our appologies for the late reply, yes it will cut the slate tile however due to the natural formation of the tile we cannot guarantee a straight cut. I hope this has helped to answer your question.

Will this cut porcelain?

Thank you for your enquiry and interest in Vitrex products. Apologies for the delay in responding. This saw is for ceramic, it will not cut porcelain with ease. We would recommend using porcelain drill bits or an electronic cutter such as the Vitrex 103402NDE. I hope this has helped to answer your question.

Ive a small job and dont want the expense of a tile cutter so I am hoping this will do the job.

This product is only suitable for cutting shapes in the tiles like pipes and awkward corners.
