Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money I am extremely disappointed with this item as I thought it was going to save me time and money. It broke on the first tile I tried to cut. It states that it can be used on tiles up to 10 mm thick but when I tried to cut a floor tile of 8.7 mm thick it chipped off a piece of tile and the plastic piece on the top became loose. I will be bringing it back for a refund!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean cuts mostly Needed to cut some 10mm floor tiles that were a few mm too big for my score-and-snap cutter. This tool was the cheapest option but did a great job. Not quite as good on the 6mm bevelled subway tiles. Often the tile wouldn't snap on the scored line. The break would curve away meaning I wasted a few even though I was very careful to score properly. Still more accurate than my cheap cutter (the kind with the handle) as you can see exactly where you're scoring. I used a thin steel ruler to guide the tool and got some very clean cuts exactly where I needed them which gave me a nice even finish around the bath. Pretty sure this won't work on curved cuts. A very useful tool to have around nonetheless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor cutting tool Wanted this tool for cutting curves, it wouldn't even cut straight lines without chipping. Oiled the wheel as suggested still didn't make a difference. Tried it on 2 other types of tiles incase it was the tile I was using but did the same thing.

Can this cut curved cuts and break cleanly?

Can this tool be used to cut glass tiles?

Want a tool to cut and snap 150mm X 75mm glass tiles, will this do the job?

Thank you for your interest in Vitrex products. We don't recommend this hand tool for cutting glass tiles, we have another hand tool which is called the Vitrex Mosaic Tile Nippers which are suitable (Screwfix code 53470). Alternatively you can use a Vitrex Manual Tile Cutter (Screwfix code 37944). I hope this has answered your question.
