Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb! This dimmer is well made and works really well. It controls my led lights well. Plus it is made here in the UK. This is the best dimmer I've ever used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Switches Did a bit of research for a good LED dimmer and these were recommended, have used them in an edit suite at work, perfectly controllable light with pairs of 50w equivalent Philips LED warm Glow bulbs, no buzzing etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One to steer clear off I kicked back the cheaper LAP version of this Dimmer because it was a pain to install. I'm wishing I'd stuck with them as these have caused more work and cost than is necessary. Build quality is pretty poor and the back planes are made up of two parts of fairly cheap feeling plastic and are way to pliable for their own good. This makes screwing them up to a good fit against the back box and fitting the equally thin and flimsy cover plates very difficult. Having tried to fit out a large living room with outlets and switches from this range I have had to convince the customer not to go for the screwless look, take the hit on the cost of the various switches and outlets as quite frankly I'm not even sure Screwfix would take them back. And invest a couple of extra hours poly filling around a couple of damaged back boxes. One rather noticeable design fault is that the outer part of the sockets back plane is clear plastic. When set against the wall the cover plate does not touch the wall and the prismatic effect of the clear plastic that is left showing between the face plate and the wall makes it look as if the decorator was having a bad day. Definitely one to be avoided.

Do you stock a matching slave dimmer

Asked by: Peterz
Hello Peterz, thanks for your message. Unfortunately our rotary dimmers don't work 2-Way with a slave, they can only be used with a 2-Way or intermediate switch. Thanks for your interest in Varilight.

Does this dimmer also work with halogen lights instead of LEDs?

Asked by: Willem75
Hello Willem75, thanks for your message. This does work with halogens, up to 300W, but for long term use with halogen lighting we recommend our V-Plus range. Thanks for your interest in Varilight.
