Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and easy This was a replacement for a Linksys mesh where one of the nodes had failed and I wasnt to happy with its performance. This is a nice easy to setup mesh system, all done via an app (android in my case). You can apparently use an Ethernet backhaul but I have not had chance to try that as yet, each hub comes with two E/net ports. Quick responsive app, 5 bars all over the house, pretty impressed so far. Had one issue with one of the hubs not configuring first time which I think was my fault, hard reset using the button underneath resolved it straight away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Virgin hub3 works great I installed these with a Virgin Superhub3 in modem mode. They work great. I have them all connected by Ethernet cable so I'm getting superfast WiFi all around the house. I tried one not connected with ethernet and it was also fast (just not as fast as Ethernet connection). Tip - Each unit has 2 ethernet ports so you can connect an Ethernet switch that allows you to connect multiple devices.

Is this compatible and would this still be effective with sky Q router and Sky Q mini boxes?

Asked by: Bwood8
Hi, at the moment, the Deco mesh system does have some compatibility issues with SKY Q system connecting them wirelessly. We can advise two options which might work as feedbacked by some of our customers below: 1) Connect an ethernet cable directly to the Sky Q box instead of setting them wirelessly. 2)change the working mode of Deco to Access point mode via the Deco app. Please see FAQ guide here: Hope this helps.

Ethernet connections

Does each Deco M5 unit require a connection to the RJ45 Ethernet or is it only one and the others connect wirelessly to the 'master' unit?
Asked by: JNB65
The initial unit is connected via ethernet to your main router or hub, and powered via the home socket outlet the other two units need only be connected to a normal home socket outlet and then they connect wirelessly to each other.

Can I add more M5's to make a bigger network or is the maximum 3.

Asked by: SparkWhizBang
You can add more Deco units to the 3 pack as required, even different types will work together as well, for instance the 3 x m5 will work withS4, m9 etc but always use the more advanced unit connected to the main router/hub first
