I say so because I have the Titan cordless mower with the same battery system, and it will refuse to charge the battery after use until the battery temperature drops to an acceptable level, so a temperature cut-off for using the device would likely apply also. I don't recall seeing mention of it in the mower manual though.

In short, no. I learned this the hard way myself when buying the Titan 41cm cordless mower a few weeks back. ScrewFix sells spare 18v batteries for the strimmer and other appliances, but customer support confirmed to me that no spare 36V batteries can be purchased. It beggars belief in my view. I have tried searching for alternatives online including third party and second-hand options, but found nothing. The only way to get a second battery is to buy a second appliance, which ironically is part of the reason I am now looking at buying this item myself. Grrrr
