Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality product Have to agree with the earlier posters. This are very badly made even though they're stamped to EN1254-2 Standard. replace 8 Rad's and had 7 leak. Did them with more PTFE and some leaked. After comparing the threads to a standard tail it seems the threads are bad made with flats across the thread peak. Have now contacted 'Tesla' and they have admitted that 12/18 months ago they had a problem with manufacture. So some old stock still around.

Do you have a part no. for a standard lockshield valve that fits this extension piece.

How do I secure the olive to the end of the extension? As is stands the nut and olive just slide completely off whereas the original size tail that I am replacing the nuts it located in between the radiator tail thread and the pre secured olive.

Asked by: Redarmy9
Good morning Redarmy9 By tightening the nut on the valve that will compress the olive down to grip onto the tail of the extension valve Hope this helps

Is this suitable for a double Stelrad radiator?

If not can they be cut by a mm to fit? ;)
Asked by: FamP
Good morning FamP The threads on the Stelrad rads are 1/2" so should fit no problem. If you need to cut the unit to size please look at Screwfix part number; 2456R Hope this helps

Use with 15mm Drayton TRV

The telescopic part slips in and out of the olive/screw cap part of my 15mm Drayton TRV extremely easily. I can use PTFE tape and/or sealant but it seems too loose for that to work. Please can you confirm the right approach?

Should there be a washer or o ring?

I've fitted these tails to a new Kudox rad and cannot get a sound seal between the tail and the rad. The blanking plate and vent plug both have rubber O rings. any suggestions to try and seal it? (both are dripping slightly).
Asked by: CaptainTightwad
unfortunately I was premature that the reassembly had worked - even with jointing compound it was dripping on both tails from the threaded part. I think the design should have a flange and O-ring. In the end I went with part number 10954 - which are telescopic and have a flange and o-ring seal.
