Would this fit the terma hex?

Yes. These are the perfect valve for the Hex. Remember if your pipes come through the floor use straight valves and it your pipes come through the wall use Angled valves. These models you are looking at are straight. Screwfix code 279HR is the angled version.

What does this fit

Is this the correct valve for: TERMA AIRE DESIGNER TOWEL RAIL 621 X 300MM GREY. If so which side does the thermostat sit?

Hello. Yes is the correct set of 50mm connection valves for the Terma Aire. The TRV head will sit on the left side as seen in the images.
