Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfectly sturdy, standard fit This is a standard-size night latch that will easily replace an existing one. It's quite sturdy; I recently bought another brand of night latch online, and while being of the standard size, the metal is much flimsier. This one seems just as strong as the expensive name-brand one that I was replacing. In this instance I didn't need the barrel and keys, only the latch, as the one on the door had been damaged. The profile of the bolt on the existing latch was slightly different - instead of a flat side, it has a slight curve, for use with a door entry system. These things seem to be of standard sizes though, and I was able to swap the old bolt assembly into the new latch without any problem. The bolt can also be reversed, which I had to do a little while ago on another one, for a door that opens outward. These are good value and a sturdy product.

Is this reversable?

Can you use this on an open out door? Does it come with a reverse strike plate and can the latch be turned around to suit?

Yes, this lock can easily be modified to work an outward opening door. 1 Remove the single screw on back of latch cover. 2 Flip the Brass latch over (make note of spring position before removing brass latch). 3 Refit spring. 4 Fit latch cover and single screw. Job done.

Can this lock be used outside (side passageway door)?

Is this ok for door thicknes which is 46mm?

Yes it is. I've just fitted this lock to a door which was 35mm thick. This lock is designed for doors UPTO 57mm thick.

Can this be used on an internal moulded door

Hello Tomo1807, This lock is designed for solid wooden doors. If your internal molded door has a solid block to fasten lock on to then it should work. If no solid block inside of door then it will not work. Thank you for using Q&A, [BH].
