It's a nice little compressor for light jobs, but both the brand name and the "120 l/min" sticker on its side are extremely misleading.
It takes about 1 minute 20 seconds to pump its 25 litre tank to 4 Bar. Then another minute to pump it to 6 Bar, and another minute and 30 seconds to get from 6 bar to 8 bar (which are its cut in/out points).
Even its own user manual says on the specifications page "Theoretical intake capacity: approx. 107 l/min" - so I have no idea where the figure of 120l/min on its sticker comes from - straight out of the backside of someone in Marketing most likely.
While the Scheppach brand is "German", the nameplate actually says "NingBo HuaSheng ZheJiang, PRC".
The motor gets a bit too hot for continuous operation, too.
That said it is very quiet for an air compressor, and it's OK for my needs, but if you're thinking the reason it costs twice as much as the Impax is due to German engineering, think again.

Very quiet
Got this to keep the neighbours happy, very quiet and can be used in the same room without much discomfort to the ears, mine is hidden in an a shed on the back of my workshop, I can only just hear it working and neighbours can’t.
Shame I had to tighten up one of its fixings due to a leak, expected better quality straight out of the box,
Apart from that brilliant and ordered Sunday and delivered Tuesday,
But very happy so far

Good compressor
I was looking for a quiet compressor and this is certainly quiet, it is only slightly noisier than my Iwata airbrush compressor that I use for detailing. The build quality looks very good indeed and first impressions are very promising. Being new to this type of compressor, I didn't know what size quick release connector it was fitted with and it isn't mentioned in the specifications, it's an XF type connector. Would also like to mention how helpful Oscar, Lisa and Victoria at the Queens Road Sheffield store were in helping me obtain all the correct accessories, many thanks.

Would this keep compression when connected to a spray gun/sander?

Hello The Hc 24si is ideal for general tasks around the home , ie for paint spraying , inflating and use with air powered tools . it has an air flow volume of 120 ltrs / min air intake , the unit is factory set at 6 bars cut in and 8 bars cut out .
