Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scheppach HBS250 - very very p I've had this for about 6 months and primarily bought it to thin out wood for some home projects allowing me to joint and glue-up.Despite several attempts I cant get this to saw straight, it stalls on resawing simple 3 inch thick pine boards, even small hand cuts and blades are difficult to find. I was excited to get this, had hopes for some great DIY projects in my spare time and has turned out to be the biggest waste of money I've As a tradesman I expected alot more and it's not cheap. Sorry but I wouldn't waste my money on this product which has been disappointing thing in every way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as you need I will start with the negatives, 1)while the table extention is metal that sticks to a magnet, the rest of the table isn't, shame really. 2) The fence could have done with a T slot to using feather board 3)The table sits just low enough to clip the stop screw on the extention against the lower door. 4)When I phoned through my order I was told the saw came with 2 extra blades, which it doesn't. 5) The blade supplied cut through soft and hard wood but let me know straight off it was struggling. The Positives 1) although it shows the saw as having a multi fitting lower dust port, it also has an upper port which works fine 2) I have read nightmare reports that the set up is long and difficult and the instructions vague, I had this set up and working in under 30 mins, following the "Just enough" instruction book (no I have never worked for NASA. 3) fine tuning the saw was easy and simple as was checking and aligning the level of the table....Spoiler alert...The rubber foot under the table raises and lowers. 4) Having struggled for years with a 3.5" clearance saw, this at just under 5" is a treat, I look forward to working on bigger pieces . 5) I spent days comparing Scheppach, Draper, Lumberjack, Record and even axminster, the axminster never seemed available, the record and lumberjack offered bigger depth, more features but ran on 1/3 hp (300w) motors( compared to the scheppack 450W), and the draper did not have the power/clearance/ features, but cost more. This saw was cheaper than or equivalent to record, Axminster and Lumberjack and the deliver time was far quicker The stand is still wrapped in case I ever get the space to stand mount the saw but it works just fine on the bench. not over heavy, I am sure if I went at it like a demented bull I could easily bend the doors but otherwise this is a good quality None far east made machine and although I have only sparcely used it have no fears about the quality of the life, though to be safe I am running it on th slower setting until the motor is run in. I have marked it down for the value and features, Features because, well its a bandsaw and the extra blades I had to buy straight off that I was told came with it miffed me slightly, and the same reason for the Value also I would have loved a t slot in the fence and a magnetic full table and then I might just have forgiven the missing blades and gone straight to a full house.
