Wood turning marvel
This tool is a great piece of kit as long as it is mounted on a good sturdy bench. It is not perfect as the spindle is a very odd thread size to fit an after purchase chuck (M18X1.5) finding an adaptor to fit a nova chuck (M33 thread) is a nightmare but I may have solved it and will be cutting a new thread in another adaptor. A good lathe.

Can I attach an aftermarket 3 jaw Chuck to this lathe?

Hi,
the thread on this machine is M18.
the machine is fitted with a 550w motor intended use is for hobby a 3 jaw chuck would be more suitable on something more professional.

Can this run out of a standard socket?

Hi,
This machine will come fitted with a 3 pin plug or an adapter transferring it from 2 pin to 3 pin so you can plug it straight into your houses electric sockets.
