Rated 1 out of 5 by from Completely rubbish Purchased this pump for en suite bath shower. Had to remove immediately upon installation due to the excessive noise this thing makes. I cannot stress how noisy this pump is, it is unbelievably loud screaming Banshee like at a very high pitch. Purchased the more expensive CT30 Force pump, massive difference in noise and quality as brass fittings. Well worth an extra £100.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pump casing leaking I've fitted hundreds of pumps, this one leaked, the bolts were loose and water leaked from the casing. check hex bolts before you install.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from short life i replaced my cheaper salamader shower pump with this version less than two years ago. Its now stopped working ? so once again having to replace the shower pump. This is a one person household and i shower twice a day, which dosent seem excessive. so this is probably not suitable for family of people who shower regular. However the power was good although the pump very noisy when running. I will consider putting the replacement on some foam padding to reduce the noise..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the money Bought to replace an aging TechFlow pump that had packed up. All the right fittings included so fitting was a breeze, took about an hour. Pressure is improved over the old pump despite being the same rating, this one is slightly smaller as well. I don't think it is overly noisy, certainly no more than the old one, although the pitch of the noise is higher on this pump. For the money I don't think you could get a better pump. Bit early to assess reliability, but it's got a 3 year warranty so should be good.

can i use these pumps on a combi boiler?

unfortunately not this pump is only designed for a gravity fed system. if you contact us on 0191 5162002 option 2 then we can run through some options with you.

If i install the pump at the base of the hot water tank will it boost the water pressure to the whole system?

Shower pump bar change

Can I go from a 3 bar twin head shower pump to a 2.6 bar twin head shower pump without performance issues? We are running only one shower in the house and the pressure is good.

Good Morning, Thanks for contacting Salamander Pumps. Yes you can change pump, you just might see slight different within the pressure and the noise rating of the product. The 2.6Bar does have a higher decibel rating than your original product.

can I reduce all in and outs to 15 mm.

Dear Customer, With this pump it can be installed using 15mm pipework providing it is within 2m of the hot water cylinder, the pump does come with 22mm hoses so you would have to set up from 15mm to 22mm when connecting to the hoses. However it would be much better if you could supply the pump all the way in 22mm and then reduce to 15mm on the outlet side. Kind regards

Is this pump suitable for pumping hot and cold water from a gravity fed system (hot water tank is in the airing cupboard) (water pressure is very low)?
