Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality wheel brace Excellent quality. Makes removing wheel nuts easier. 1/2” drive means can be used with other sockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Handy Tool This is my third one of these wheel braces(left other two in cars i sold on)very handy if you need to change a tyre by yourself and wheel nuts were previously tightened by over zealous mechanic with a windy gun!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit Toyota Yaris Good quality, good service however, despite this supposedly fitting "most vehicle wheel nuts" it does not fit my Toyota Yaris. Fortunately it is compatible with any 1/2 inch socket so the bar has been of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job Bought this as my new (secondhand) car didnt have a wheel race. Only tried it on a couple of the wheel nuts but undid them, no problem. Can’t comment on the longevity but hopefully I won’t need to use it very often. Good price and comes with double socket, 17mm and 19mm. Value for money.

What is the maximum length of the handle when extended fully.

Asked by: Owen1

Is the socket size suitable for the Citroen Relay/ Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato range?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, thank you for the question. This product comes with two socket, one is 17mm and one 19mm. Due to different makes, models and years of production it is hard to say exactly. I believe they are M14 thread but hex information varies. Some say 21mm so needs to be carefully checked. The product has a 1/2" drive end so if the supplied socket did not fit an existing 1/2" drive long socket could be used instead or alternatively a wheel socket set such as Screwfix code 7256R. The best advice i can give is to measure your current wheel nuts or check with the manufacture and if they are 17mm or 19mm they will work. Regards, Hilka Tools.

what torque is this good for as i`ve just twisted a spider wrench & sheared a 1/2" socket trying to loosen car wheelnuts tightened by local tyrefitters

Asked by: FrankRutter
Hello, thank you for the question. This item is certified by an independent German testing house. Within the report it shows the minimum requirements for the item. The torque depends upon the size of socket used; if using the 17mm socket the torque it has been tested to is 425Nm. If using the 19mm socket it has been tested to 531Nm of torque. The torque required for the driving part (without socket attached) is 495Nm minimum (but was actually tested up to 605Nm with no function loss). Simplistically it should be enough to remove even the tightest wheel nuts (unless they have seized in which case Hilka Damaged Screw & Stud remover will help, Screwfix code 20084). Will this it a Mini One 2002 1.6 wheel size 15"

Asked by: viking500uk
Regardless of wheel size, this wrench fits size 17mm or 19mm wheel nuts, thus you should check for the wheel nut size for your car model on google instead.
