voltage drop on a run

if i run 30 metres of this (buried), what voltage drop could I expect on this run? and what is the maximum amperage it can support on this run as well?
Asked by: DRODRO
To help with your request, we recommend using our CableApp. The professional application used for selecting the right cable for your needs. Please visit https://uk.prysmiangroup.com/cableapp for more information or search ‘CableApp’ in the App Store or Google Play. Based on a 2.5% volt drop limit, and assuming you have a single phase, 230V system you could load 16A. Higher currents could be achieved, depending on your volt drop limit.

Which 7671 Tables/Methods used?

For your previous answer to current Carrying Capacity, which table and reference methods did you use to get 49A and 65A respectively?
Asked by: Aticus
The current Carrying Capacities are taken from the following publications: 49A clipped direct - from BS7671 table 4E4A; 65A direct buried - from ERA, "Current Rating Standards 69-30 Part V", ERA report 89-0025. The latter publication uses a depth of 0.5m, thermal resistivity of soil 1.2 K.m/W, ground temp of 15°C, max conductor temp of 90°C. The ERA publication was based on research carried out at the behest of the UK cable industry to understand how the UK environment would affect cable selection. This publication is available direct from ERA who are part of the Edif group.
