Rated 1 out of 5 by from Job ruined Went by the later reviews for this No Nonsense paint and wish I hadn't. I normally really rate the No Nonsense range and it usually represents great value. Not this time. I spent a full day stripping our garage door back to bare metal (using the excellent No Nonsense paint stripper). I have now applied two good coats to the door and it looks awful. Applied with a good quality gloss roller, it is still really patchy, the finish is poor and looks dull. I bought a second tin thinking the first wouldn't be enough to apply two coats which it did, just, but I won't be using that to finish the job. In this case, it was a question of buy cheap, buy twice!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 Coats = poor VFM Needed to do a black & white paint job on a steel shed. The black was solvent based and a little more expensive (branded product), the no nonsense white on paper was cheaper per litre so tried it. But needed 2 coats instead of one because its aqueous based the coverage is inferior compared with its solvent based equivalent which needs a single coat. So it's actually cheaper to buy a tin of solvent based and a good paintbrush, then chuck the lot after you've done than TWO tins of this stuff and be able to was your brush out. DISSAPOINTED.

Is this paint sprayable? I have a Wagner W100

How to apply? Would you use a roller or brush?

Asked by: Cinderella77
Hello, You can use either. It depends on your individual preference, working space etc. Typically, for a streak free finish you'd use a roller. But for hard to reach areas/edges or detailed areas you may wish to use a brush. Also, if the metal you are painting is rough then you might want to use a brush, as the roller wont have long enough pile to reach every divot. For further information you may wish to visit some DIY advice website online (you can find helpful videos too) or contact a competent tradeperson for help. Thanks for using Q&A.

Can I use it to paint radiators?

Asked by: Pothy
Hello Pothy, Unfortunately this paint is not suitable for use on radiators. You may wish to look at products 4621R or 1338R, as these are both suitable for radiators. Thank you for using Q&A. [DG]
