Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not suitable for uPVC frames. First off, let me say this _might_ be a good product for use with wooden windows. The reason I've given it only 1* is that it isn't suitable for uPVC frames yet neither the product's front panel labelling (as illustrated on Screwfix website) nor Screwfix's 'Specification' make that clear before purchase. That's despite customer feedback about this on this site dating back to Dec 2015. The info is given in the fine print on the tube, but if you order on-line you don't get to see that. In my case I used Click and Collect and didn't see the fine print until I got home from my 14 mile round trip to Screwfix. I see another customer got as far as putting it on his window frames before he realised (see 'Questions'). Half the windows in Britain must be uPVC these days, so not making this clear is daft - and my giving it one star reflects it being a useless product for the purpose for which I (quite reasonably) bought it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Putty is dead!! It's years since I have done any glazing and I was always "old school" with my putty. This is great, glazed 12 windows faster than 1 using old methods. Can't give it 5 stars yet as I need to see how it performs over the winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Nonsense glazing silicone Have used this for 10 years or so. It is as good as any other brand. I also use it as a general purpose adhesive - It sticks to anything, it's strong, flexible and waterproof. Particularly good for glueing and sealing wood together. Recently used to glue battens to wall to nail TnG boards to (was unable to use screws in the wall). It is much better than a standard building adhesive. Downsides - (as with all silicone) tricky to clean, difficult to remove when set and not paintable. Highly Recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for job Good price, have used many times in the past with no issues. Used to fix wooden beading on Windows. Needed the extra flex this product offers as the wood will expand / shrink from season to season.

can you tell me how quick this will cure? I want to use it to fix an old pane of glass in a sloping skylight

Asked by: gmpchapman
Hello gmpchapman, It is difficult to determine exactly as the cure time is dependent on the temperatures and the bead thickness. In general the cure time based on a 2-3mm bead would be around 24 hours. Thank you for using Q & A. DC
