screws don't hold wires inplace
why don't the screws, when fully tightened into the terminals not hold the wires in place?
Asked by: dydiy
I would suggest that either the terminals are faulty or the cable is not adequately in place when the screws are tightened. Have a look in the terminal to see if the screws tighten fully.

To install the wires does the grey cover need to be removed
Asked by: coleman34
Good morning, Could you be a bit more specific are you talking about the outer sheath of the cable? or a grey cover on the product. If you could send some photos of the item you have bought and the grey cover you are talking about to mk.technical@honeywell.com then we will be able to advise. Unfortunately with the information you have currently provided I am unable to assist.

Why are the screws so tight?
I bought a load of these. About a 1/4 of them went on fine, but one or other of the screws in 3/4 of them are so tight that they won’t move, cannot be tightened, so don’t clamp onto the wires. Is this a faulty batch or am I doing something wrong?

Same here. Just bought the one switch, but had to very carefully tighten the screws (on a work bench) then back them out to clear (or maybe even cut) the threads.

Replacing old double light switch as 1 and 2 way lights
replace broken switch with a new one. Switch used as 1 way for outside light and 2 way. Removed cover of old switch and old colour coding. Red, yellow and blue wires. Do you have a simple diagram of what goes where for the new switch .

Have a look at how all of the original terminations are labelled and record or take a photo of what coloured cables are connected where. Then see if the new switch corresponds with the original switch's labelled terminals and see if you can work out what cables go where.

Can this be used as an intermediate switch?
If not do you sell 2 gang intermediate switches?
Asked by: Mickmc85
I had the same requirement. I bought a 1 gang intermediate switch and swapped the actual switch mechanism over into one of these. They dismantle relatively easily.
