Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mira 9.8 Sport A replacement for a similar Mira Sport shower which lasted over 7 years. Good pressure and reliable water heat. Just right for my needs. Seems good value and good service from Screwfix, fitted by a local plumber in under an hour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent electric shower I purchased this shower as an upgrade for my MIRA Sport that has been reliable over many years since installation in our en-suite. The new shower is the same power as the old one but now includes thermostatic temperature control. This makes all the difference, with much better temperature control that is stable even if a tap is used elsewhere in the house. Installation was very straightforward, using the existing water inlet without modification. It’s perhaps worth mentioning that I had a minor problem with the cover on my new unit. However MIRA customer support (by phone) were quick to diagnose the problem and I received a replacement cover the next morning. This has now been fitted and everything is working spot-on. I’m sure the shower will prove to be reliable going forwards, but reassuring to know that MIRA offer really good support and spares back-up, should the need arise. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone wishing to spend a little more to benefit from an electric shower with improved temperature control.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mira Sport 9.8Kw I've just installed this shower and pretty straightforward to do. However the shower head rail brackets are poorly anchored, a half turn on the anchor screws is recommended to prevent cracking of the bracket, and the soap dish is a joke. If your after quality and a longer life its best to pay a bit more. At least you'll get a soap dish than can support the soap.

Replacing a previous version of the Mira sport thermostatic

Are the fixings to the wall in the same position as the Previous version of the Mira Sport thermostatic, or will I have to drill new holes?

Hello Ten100. As the new Mira Sport Thermostatic is bigger than the previous model new holes would need to be drilled, but as it's bigger it will cover up the previous holes to leave a clean and tidy finish. Thank you.

direct replacement for old Mira sport 9kw model?

Is this a direct replacement or is the multi fit a better option? Thanks!

Hi, The water and electrics are in the same place, however you will need to check if your current cable will support the higher power rating. The Multifit also has the water access from either the left or the right as well as the electrics, but the unit is a lot wider.

The water can come in from above or below but you can't move the water and electrical connections on this model.
