If you look after it, it'll last you quite a while if regularly maintained. I have a standard chainsaw and clean it after every use, including sharpening the chain, removing the bar and cleaning that, and removing any detritus inside the housing. Oregon do sets of maintenance tools, including the round file for the cutters, a flat file for the guide (they need to be the same height as the cutters), and a tool for removing wood from the groove in the bar. Make sure you get the correct size set for the chain, which I believe in this case is 3/8". If you sharpen regularly each cutter will only need two or three runs with the round file. If you're getting sawdust (rather than chips) when using the saw, the cutters need sharpening but with regular maintenance that shouldn't happen.
