Nice light strip, they can be plugged together to make a continuous strip (as i have) or add the included joining cables between each (id suggest for going round corners or adding overall length). There is no in line switch, so they must be turned on and off at the mains plug socket. No good for my application so i have fitted an in line switch in the cable near to the first strip - now perfect. (cant see in line switch on Screwfix but available elsewhere).

running two strips in parallel

Hi, I would like to run the kit in two strips in parallel , to fit under two shelves. Is this possible?

Hello Jerry83, No, the transformer only has one connection point so you would have to run the strips in series, one into another. Thank you for using Q&A

Are these waterproof?

And suitable for use in bathroom niches?

Hello Thank you for your question. these lights are IP20 this means? An IP20 rating means the product is touchproof and will be resistant to dust or objects that are over 12mm in size. However, it has no protection whatsoever against liquids and will be susceptible to damage if it comes into contact with sprays of water. Thank you for using the Screwfix Q&A service

Can the connecting wire be extended or can you buy longer ones, my wall units are 1mtr apart due to windows and extractor

The information shows the light strips connected in series. Would they also work in parallel if I bought a 4 way cable splitter?

Is it possible to extend wiring between each lighting strip

Hello Paulnic, We would not recommend this however with all electrical and wiring we recommend contacting an electrician for how to's. Also if you were to re-wire, this will void the items warranty. Thank you for using Screwfix Q and A.
